The Orange County Register has once again used a formula that combines test scores, graduation figures, enrollment data and other statistics to compile its breakdown of the county’s top public high schools. As we noted when the newspaper's middle school rankings were released, it’s difficult to really compare schools, and any ranking system is bound to spark some debate – similar to arguing about sports teams from different eras. Nevertheless, we’re proud to report that all four of IUSD’s comprehensive high schools made the O.C.'s sweet sixteen, with Northwood High leading the way locally at No. 4.
