The Irvine Police Department (IPD) and the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) are hosting two wildfire prevention presentations this month:
- Thursday, October 17 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Los Olivos Community Center (101 Alfonso Drive, Irvine)
- Wednesday, October 30 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Portola Springs Elementary School (12100 Portola Springs, Irvine)
During these free events, which are open to the public, residents will learn about ways to help protect their homes, mitigate wildfire risks and the importance of being prepared to evacuate if needed. Irvine neighborhoods most at risk for wildfires include, Shady Canyon, Turtle Ridge, Turtle Rock, Quail Hill, Orchard Hills and Portola Springs.
