As we head into August and September, the two hottest months of the year, IUSD would like to remind our students and families to be water safe. According to the Orange County Fire Authority, more than 80 percent of drownings occur in residential backyard pools and spas. It can happen quickly, without warning, without a splash and without a cry for help. Remember to secure pool and spa areas, always have adult supervision, swim with a buddy, and set water safety rules for you and your family.
