Hurry, hurry! Step right up!
This high-energy musical traces the career of America's greatest showman of the 1800s, Phineas Taylor Barnum, as he strives to sell his side show of traveling wonders to America. He is accompanied by his less than enthusiastic wife, Charity, and a cavalcade of clowns, jugglers, acrobats, singers, dancers and marching bands. The play culminates with the meeting of Barnum and James A. Bailey as they join forces to create 'The Greatest Show on Earth!
We should point out that there will also be a show-before-the-show all four evenings at 6:30 p.m., featuring face-painting, puppets, stilt-walking, cotton candy and fortune-telling in front of the theater. Tickets for the family-friendly performance – $10 for kids, $15 for adults – are on sale in the Northwood High Box Office every weekday during lunch. Cash and checks are accepted. Just be sure to make checks payable to the “NHS VAPA Department.” You may also order tickets by calling (949) 936-7262, or you can print this online order form and mail it to Northwood at 4515 Portola Parkway, Irvine, Calif. 92620. Note that ordered tickets will be available for pick-up at the box office an hour before showtime.
