The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that children ages 5-11 are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. Click here to read the full announcement from the CDC. The following resources include information about convenient clinic locations and provide information about COVID-19 vaccines.
- Visit the City of Irvine's Neighborhood Vaccination Clinics webpage.
- The Orange County Health Care Agency’s COVID-19 Vaccine Resource webpage and the state’s My Turn CA webpage also provide information, clinic locations and resources.
- Additionally, local pharmacies are providing COVID-19 vaccines for all eligible groups.
For additional questions and information, contact your child’s pediatrician or family healthcare provider. All COVID-19 vaccines are free for ages 5 and up.
Given the availability and easy access to COVID-19 vaccines throughout Irvine, IUSD will not host vaccination clinics on our school campuses and facilities. Please note that this recent announcement from the CDC does not change the timeframe of the state’s TK-12 vaccination mandate that was announced on Oct. 1 and is expected to go into effect July 2022.
