Irvine Unified School District announces a rescheduled Recycling Drive for students to collect recyclables and earn cash for their schools.

Join the Recycling Drive Challenge! The IUSD Sustainability Department, in partnership with the City of Irvine, is inviting all students to gather your recyclables and bring them to the Irvine Unified District Office (5050 Barranca Parkway, Irvine) on February 21 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a chance to win prizes for your school!

What to Collect:
✅ Mixed Wastepaper (junk mail, newspapers, magazines, cereal boxes, office paper)
✅ CRV Cans & Bottles (California Redemption Value containers)
✅ Food & Beverage Cartons (juice, milk, and food cartons)
✅E-Waste (discarded electrical or electronic devices)

Cash prizes will be earned on CRV cans and bottles, and e-waste materials. Please empty all liquid from containers. No batteries, lighting, or large appliances accepted. Recyclables must be bagged, and CRV cans & bottles must be bagged separately from paper.

The Green Guy and Resilience will also be in attendance for signing autographs!

Let’s work together to keep our schools and community green!
