IUSD in the News: Science fair photos, advocacy trip preview and ping pong balls at Sierra Vista

Here are a few IUSD-related stories spotted recently in the Irvine World News and Orange County Register: The Orange County Register’s website has posted a handful of photos from IUSD's 32nd annual District Science Fair. The event took place Feb. 26 at Woodbridge High School. Nearly two dozen high school students from IUSD will meet with legislators and other VIPs during a March 20 advocacy trip to Sacramento, reports Irvine High School senior Katherine Carr in this freelance story on the Register’s website. And the Irvine World News recently profiled an eye-raising class project at Sierra Vista Middle School, where science teacher Kathy Marvin launched 1,500 ping pong balls into the sky using liquid nitrogen, warm water and a trash can.
