safety assemblies or bicycle rodeos at their IUSD elementary and middle schools. As the City builds upon these safety activities, you may see an increase in police officers on bicycles around IUSD schools during high traffic drop-off and pick-up times.  These officers will conduct safety education, enforcement and incentive activities such as giving prizes to students who are seen safely biking and walking.  Officers will also enforce traffic laws in areas surrounding the schools.  The City is utilizing this program to help enhance the safety and well-being of IUSD students and families.
