District e-waste recycling event collected more than 24,000 pounds of waste

The Irvine Unified School District recently partnered with All Green on an e-waste recycling event held at the District Office. Approximately 16,524 pounds of e-waste was collected – at $.09 per pound, $1,487.16 was collected.

Additionally, there was 7,605 pounds of "no value" electronics collected. In total, IUSD diverted more than 24,000 pounds of electronics from entering the landfill.
