CalOptima Cancer Screening Campaign

CalOptima Health has unveiled a groundbreaking $5.1 million cancer screening awareness campaign with a new message: “Screening is about life, not cancer.”  

The program is targeting improved screening rates for breast, cervical, colon and lung cancers. 

CalOptima 2026 Member Health Rewards ProgramCalOptima Health OneCare (HMO D-SNP), a Medicare Medi-Cal Plan, offers members a flex card (OneCare &more card) to purchase over-the-counter items (and in some cases, groceries) in-store and online.Additionally, the health rewards members have been able to earn in the form of a physical gift card in previous years are now added to the flex card instead. Members can earn rewards by completing certain health care tests or screenings and submitting an online form on this page.

Say Goodbye to Copays

Did you know that CalOptima Health OneCare members can get their brand-name and generic medicines for $0 copays all year long? Our OneCare (HMO D-SNP) program is designed for people who are covered by both Medicare and Medi-Cal. With OneCare, members can fill their prescription medicines at their pharmacy as they normally do with $0 copays, meaning OneCare members:

Can improve or maintain their health by taking all their medicinesCan get the best treatment without worrying about the costs

In addition, OneCare members can arrange transportation to the pharmacy by contacting OneCare Customer Service toll-free at 1-877-412-2734 (TTY 711) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

DHCS Launches New Medi-Cal website for members

 

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) launched a new online experience at my.medi-cal.ca.gov to help current Medi-Cal members and potential new members quickly find the information they need about Medi-Cal. These accessible and mobile-friendly pages are written in clear, plain language and supported in multiple languages to better serve California’s diverse communities

 

Medi-Cal renewal is ongoing.  If your local Medi-Cal office sends you a renewal form in a yellow envelope or asks for more information, please respond immediately. Otherwise, you and your family may lose your health coverage. You can expect to receive their renewal packet two months before your renewal due date.

Even if you don't think you're eligible, complete the Medi-Cal renewal form.  Medi-Cal income limits are different for kids. They may qualify even if the adults in the house do not.

CalKIDS is a new program from the State of California that provides eligible families with free money for college. Important News!  Changes Coming to CalFresh EBT Card

Starting in the summer of 2024, EBT cards will be upgraded to include Chip/Tap Pay technology. Cardholders will Automatically receive their new Chip EMV/Tap cards via mail. Cardholders will have 45 days to activate their new card, at which point the old magnetic stripe-only card will no longer work. For questions, please call EBT Customer Service 24 hours a day seven days a week at 1-877-328-9677.
