The Honors Concert provides an excellent opportunity for students to work with challenging musical compositions that stretch the skills of even the most accomplished students. Annual IUSD Honors Art show - 2026
May 15 & 16, 2026 - Portola High School
The District Honors Art Show celebrates the visual arts across IUSD, highlighting and awarding rising artists in grades PK-12. The art gallery displays exemplary student artwork from all types of 2-D, 3-D, and digital media. All schools in Irvine participate. Select students are honored with a Rising Artist Award, highlighting their exceptional artistic skills and creative voices. Local art community partners adjudicate the artworks. A varying amount of Rising Artist Award winners have their artwork displayed at the Laguna Art Museum following the art show. High School Art Clubs set up art stations and booths with fun activities for attendees of all ages! The event is typically held on the same night as Portola's Porchella event, creating a fun and buzzing atmosphere for all who attend.
