ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATION - 1330.3
The Irvine Unified School District recognizes the need for the public to use school grounds for after school and weekend activities. To meet this need, the Board of Education and the City of Irvine operate under joint use agreements in a plan to allocate its fields and play areas to the various teams, clubs, and organizations of our community.
This plan shall provide an orderly and fair distribution of available spaces to the public. The Board of Education cannot assume any liability or responsibility for the use of its grounds by outside organizations and groups. District facilities shall be left in a manner so as not to disrupt the educational process, when students return to school.
The District reserves the right to limit the use on school property of motorized apparatuses. The use of the school grounds for the launching or operating of such apparatuses may be done only by permission of the Board of Education on the issuance of a permit. Such permit may be obtained from the Irvine Unified School District, Business Services, 5050 Barranca Parkway, Irvine, CA 92604. These permits shall state the exact time and area for such use. Failure to comply with the provisions of the permit shall be considered a violation of Education Code Section 39600. Parties in violation of this Education Code shall be subject to arrest and prosecution.
