DUTIES OF THE SECRETARY

BOARD POLICY - 9122

The Superintendent shall be designated as Secretary to the Board, and it shall be so stipulated in his/her contract.

The Secretary to the Board shall be responsible for the preparation of the Board Agenda in consultation with the Board President. (Individual Board Members may inform the President or the Superintendent of items they wish placed on the Agenda, or propose them at a regular meeting.)

Further, the Secretary to the Board shall be responsible for maintaining the Board minutes, records, and documents; shall sign such documents on behalf of the Board as required; and shall represent the Board in deliberations with other boards, districts, or agencies as directed by the Board.
