Here at IUSD, we are moving towards being more accessible across our websites. For example, to account for the different audiences who will be viewing the site, we have included options to increase/decrease font sizes, provide links to resources such as adaptive readers and screen readers, and make most of the site content keyboard and mouse friendly. Included in the new website are options to resize fonts, translate to different languages (and toggle back), perform search functions on desktops, laptops, tablets, and other mobile devices. In short, we are working towards form and function with users in mind. This includes our district website and hopefully our schools within IUSD. Following the launch of our district website, we will be re-designing our schools' websites as well. To increase accessibility across all of our sites, we have established a list of best practices for our website content publishers.
Best Practices
- Employ tools to review the site and content accessibility
- Provide tools available to public.
