IUSD has Partnered with Hazel Health to Expand Mental Health Supports for Students

Hazel Health Services

IUSD is proud to partner with Hazel Health, a behavioral telehealth provider, to expand access to mental health support for all K-12 IUSD students at no cost to families. With parent/guardian consent, students will be able to access licensed behavioral health providers virtually from home. Parents/guardians will have the option of self-referring through a link on the District’s Mental Health and Wellness webpage, or a student may be referred by school staff, with parent consent. Hazel offers counseling services in 19 different languages.

Hazel Health is available to all students, regardless of insurance. Hazel Health will bill insurance if available and all co-pays are waived. If a family is without insurance, they have the same level of access to support as an insured family.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Hazel Health requires minimal student data, including name, school, grade, and parent/guardian contact information, for enrollment verification. Families will have the option to opt out of data sharing and thereby opt out of Hazel Health services. A message with directions will be sent via Parent Square from our Mental Health and Wellness team on Thursday, March 7.
