The Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) is proud to offer high school students the opportunity to earn college credits through a variety of CCAP Dual Enrollment Programs. In partnership with Irvine Valley College (IVC), IUSD provides dual enrollment courses both during the summer and throughout the school year.

Bonita Canyon Elementary School, Eastshore Elementary School, Portola Springs Elementary School and Plaza Vista School have been named 2025 California Distinguished Schools. This designation is the state’s top honor for schools. 

Matthew Chang from Woodbridge High School and Yuyu “Winnie” Wei from Northwood High School have been named 2025 Edison Scholars.

IUSD’s sustainability team is hosting the District’s annual Earth Day Student Poster Contest, which is open to all IUSD students. This year’s theme is “Our Power, Our Planet: Renewable Energy Now.”

IUSD hosted its annual 21st Century Career Conference at UC Irvine's Beckman Center, giving nearly 400 middle schoolers a chance to explore STEM careers.
IUSD had a strong showing at the recent National History Day-Orange County with 34 projects winning top honors, the most any district.
More than 60 IUSD students were nominated for the OC Register’s Artist of the Year Awards, spanning over seven categories.
