Superintendent Walker's ongoing role with CENIC in recent years has proved beneficial for IUSD and pivotal in bringing the first-ever 100-Gigabit per second K-12 internet connection to all 27 school districts in Orange County. 
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced the National Merit Award semifinalists on Thursday, with IUSD students taking top honors in Southern California.

IUSD broke ground on Cadence Park School, on September 7, 2017. Once built, this state-of-the-art education facility will be the District's fourth K-8 and its 40th school.

The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for Southern California this week, with temperatures expected to rise into the triple digits in parts of the county.
