27th Annual Young Masters Art Show

Young Master's Art Show

The Irvine Unified School District would like to congratulate and commend the many young artists in grades K-6, who had their artwork showcased as part of the Assistance League’s 27th annual Young Masters Art Show.  This year’s theme was “Imagination: The Power of Possibility.”  The show, held at the Irvine Civic Center, featured more than 500 pieces of student artwork.

“The level of talent on display was impressive and a testament to the importance of quality art education in our schools,” said IUSD Superintendent Terry Walker.  “Research tells us that art education can foster student engagement, self-esteem, teamwork and improvements in math, reading and critical thinking skills.  It is a core part of our mission to develop children’s full abilities.”

The Young Masters Art Show would not be possible without IUSD’s dedicated teachers and staff, the City of Irvine, and the Assistance League of Irvine.  The District is especially proud of the hundreds of young artists participating in this year’s show, who inspire us with their passion, creativity and commitment.
