5th Grade
Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome back to school and especially to 5th grade! We are excited to have your student in my class and are looking forward to a wonderful year.
Supplies are always a question that students and parents have on their minds. Here are the 5th grade teachers’ requests:
One small (about 8”x4”) pencil box to hold:

The Fifth Grade Teachers
- 2 black pens
- 2 blue pens
- 2 red pens
- 2 green OR purple pens
- 3 different color highlighters
- 2 pencils, mechanical or otherwise
- 1 box of lead (only if you have a mechanical pencil)
- 1 eraser
- 1 small pencil sharpener (only if you are not using a mechanical pencil)
- 1 small pair of scissors
- 1 large glue stick
- 1 student file or portfolio, accordion style to use to hold your papers and planner
(We have found this to be more efficient for students to use than a binder)
- 1 pack of wide rule notebook paper
$5.00 for a Vista Verde planner
- 1 box of tissues
The NO list!!
- NO rolling backpacks!!! These are a serious safety hazard in the classroom.
- NO crayons, colored pencils, markers, tape, liquid glue, or staplers, because they are all provided!
- NO gel pens!
- NO toys disguised as school supplies…you know what we mean!
