Transition to TK or K – Skills

The Pre K – K Articulation Committee, comprised of community preschool teachers, ECLC teachers, TK Teachers and K teachers (both general education and special education) developed a list of skills which are helpful for students transitioning into TK or K. The committee agreed that students have the most successful transition to TK or K if they have many of the skills listed. The goal of this committee is to help provide a smooth transition to Kindergarten, and providing a joint message between preschool and kindergarten is one step in that process.

This document, Transition Skills for TK or K, was created to help educators communicate to parents the skills TK and K teachers find the most beneficial for entering students.
