Please note: All parents must submit an updated "Residency Verification Form" for each child. See Parent Letter below.

MONTESSORI Parents: You will need to complete the Residency Verification Form for each child currently attending Springbrook Elementary School.

Springbrook Elementary School staff greatly appreciates your compliance with these IUSD mandated requirements.

2017-2018 School Year Residency
Verification Form Requirements

Dear Parent or Guardian:

The Irvine Unified School District will once again require residency verification for all IUSD students enrolling for the 2016-17 school year. This process is an annual legal requirement in California and it helps our district ensure that all available resources are spent efficiently and effectively to the benefit of our Irvine families. Moreover, these additional steps will help provide a full and precise accounting of our student population as we review staffing for the coming year.

By completing the following forms for each of your students, you will be making a formal declaration that your child lives within IUSD’s attendance boundaries.

(To complete forms, you must click “enable editing”)

School websites have electronic versions of the documents available as part of the residency verification process. Also, hard copies are available at the school site upon request. For your added convenience, the forms are also linked above and attached to this email, allowing you to fill them out and print them at home. Completed residency forms should be turned in to your child’s school by the school’s assigned deadline. A list of acceptable documents included on the Residency Verification Form can also be found by clicking here.

  • If you plan to enroll a kindergartner or a new student, please visit the IUSD website at http://iusd.org/enrollment/index.html for necessary pre-enrollment forms.
  • If you are considered a co-resident (you and your family are living with the owner or renter of your residence), please also note the “Co-Residency Supplemental Form.” This documentation must be completed as part of the Residency Verification and Affidavit Forms by parents or guardians who share a home with another family or individual.

For additional information, please contact your local school office.

Title 1: Highly Qualified Teachers

Not only does your teacher know your child and is equipped to meet their needs, but every teacher at Springbrook meets the Federal No Child Left Behind legal definition of being "Highly Qualified".  While some schools across the nation may struggle to find highly qualified staff, we are fortunate to have all of our teachers in this compliance category. According to federal law, Title 1, Part A 111(h)(6)(A) parents always have the right to request information about the qualifications of their child's teacher.  Please direct inquires to Sunny Shen, Principal at 949-936-6050.
