IUSD Complaint Procedures

Principal's News

Hello Rancho Families,

The first trimester is quickly coming to an end and it has been a very rewarding period of time for Rancho.  The students have participated in numerous community service projects that have helped make a difference in the lives of others.

We have contributed treats to the troops, made a commitment to stay drug free, provided canned food items to those less fortunate for Thanksgiving, and welcomed students new to IUSD.

As we enter the last few weeks of this trimester we encourage you to reflect back on the first 12 weeks of the 2012-2013 year and celebrate your successes and set goals for the remainder of the year.

Wednesday Late Starts

This is just a reminder to all that if students are out in the community on Wednesday late start mornings before school begins at 9:30, please remember to be respectful and responsible citizens. We have had great reports from IHOP and Carl’s Jr., but Ralphs has reported that there are some students who are being loud, disruptive, and otherwise disrespectful in the store on Wednesday mornings.  Please help us maintain a positive and productive relationship with the businesses in our community by encouraging the students to be respectful consumers. We have also noticed that on late start mornings, students are coming to school with unhealthy food products.  Buying and ingesting candy, soda, and other sugar-filled foods before school hours is not a good decision; it may affect the students’ ability to behave and perform in class. Furthermore, if a student brings candy or soda items onto campus, it will be confiscated until a parent comes to school to claim it.  Thank you for your support.

Thank you again,

Scott Bowman
