PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER

DEFINITION

Under the general supervision of Guidance Resources Coordinator and Deputy Superintendent of Education Services, to provide district leadership for the Irvine Family Resource Center Program. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with local partner agencies.
  • Coordinate articulation among programs for IUSD.
  • Communicate with staff and District personnel to exchange information, coordinate activities, maintain communication among partner agencies and maintain a positive image through community relations.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of staff.
  • Provide triage and assignment of cases to program staff/case managers.
  • Provide opportunities for professional growth for employees, and assist staff in the process of goal setting, establishing objectives assessment of growth.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Become familiar with and operate within "funding terms and agreements" for all grants.
  • Coordinate data collection and program evaluation processes.

QUALIFICATIONS GUIDE

Knowledge of:

  • Basic record-keeping techniques required for grant funded programs.
  • Basic computer operation.
  • Grant writing experience desirable.
  • Operational budgeting experience desirable.
  • Effective staff management and performance assessment skills.
  • Effective counseling strategies and child growth and developmental issues for families.

Ability to:

  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents, school sites, community and government agencies and District personnel. 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Valid California Administrative Credential authorizing administrative services preferred.
  • Background in School Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of successful experience working with children and families.
  • Evidence of successful leadership ability.
