We emphasize understanding,
appreciation,
and performance.
The Irvine Unified School District provides a comprehensive arts education in the four arts disciplines: visual arts, dance, drama, and music. Arts education is provided for students from grades kindergarten through twelve. We encourage you to browse this page to learn more about our programs, and we invite you to attend our performances and visual art shows.
Congratulations!
Diane Formica has been elected to be the Visual and Performing Arts Elementary Teacher of the Year for 2009. Ms. Formica teaches at Canyon View, College Park, Culverdale, and Northwood Elementary Schools.
The Irvine Company,
We thank you!
With the support of the Bren Foundation and The Irvine Company, the IUSD art and music programs for students 4th-6th grades will not be interrupted by the state's budget cut. All 4th-6th grade students will continue to have two 40-minute music lessons per week, and six art lessons in the school year.

Although there have been drastic cuts in programs
throughout the district, there has been some reinstatement thanks
to a grass-roots effort by parents and the Irvine
Public Schools Foundation. For more information regarding current program
reductions and reinstatements, follow this link. Click
on the IPSF logo for more information on how you can help. |
