PRINCIPAL’S BEARY IMPORTANT STUFF

It seems like every week is big week for fun and special events here at Bonita Canyon. This week we have our Halloween parade and our book fair will be kicking off tomorrow and going strong all week.

We have been working on our safety protocols quite a bit recently and I want to thank all the parents for picking up theirstudents at our reunification drill. It only took 22 minutes to get everyone to their family, great work by everyone. We also had an intruder training this past Wednesday. In partnership with the Irvine Police Department, we continue to practice what we would do if we had an intruder come on campus. Our staff takes this very seriously and we received kudos from our trainers on how we reacted during our training. This is just one more example of how we are dedicated to keeping everyone safe when they are on campus at Bonita Canyon.

Halloween Parade Tomorrow!!

Tomorrow is our annual parade and I just wanted to reiterate some of the information we sent home in the conduit.

  • Students must bring their costumes in a bag if they want to participate. We will not be delivering costumes to students during the day.
  • The parade will begin at 1:00 pm and you are welcomed to watch from the grass in the front of the school or the grass near the blacktop.
  • At the conclusion of the parade, students will go back to their classes, get their backpacks and be dismissed by their teachers.
  • Monday is early dismissal and all students will be released at 1:28.
